AlertMeter is a noninvasive, user-friendly way to instantly ensure that employees are fit for work. The AlertMeter is a cognitive test taken on a touchscreen device that measures a person’s level of alertness by comparing it to an individual’s baseline that the system learns over time. It displays non-language graphic shapes that are slightly obscured to the viewer.
Originally validated in a NIOSH-funded 2009 clinical study, AlertMeter has since been successfully deployed in a growing number of safety-sensitive organizations. Industries adopting this leading technology include mining, mass transport, manufacturing and oil & gas.The technology has met key requirements from these industries for a workplace-friendly alertness test, such as being brief, inexpensive to implement, portable, and not requiring proprietary hardware.
AlertMeter is an easy to use, cost effective, and time-saving method for realistically improving safety and productivity in the modern workplace. It can be set up for use on shared touchscreen tablets or on employees’ own smartphones.
Complimenting the AlertMeter is a biomathematical reporting module that supports organisations in further being able to predict likely fatigue incidents, taking into account time on site or through various shifts.
The biomathematical calculator evaluates how persons work / rest / sleep schedule interacts with the natural circadian cycle. It provides management insights for fatigue across individuals, departments, contractors or the enterprise. It can also provide actionable real-time insights for operators or supervisors.
